Hi Everyone.

We hope you get some value from this CMS forum. Use it to pursue any line of enquiry you like, from beginners' questions like "How do I start to learn about CMS", through to developers' statements on what we should or shouldn't be doing (devs are like that).

To post on this forum, register and give a working email - you'll have to activate your membership by clicking a link in the email, so a dud email address won't work. We aren't interested in your email in the slightest, it's only used to stop bots posting and so on. We guarantee never to sell or give it to any 3rd party, ever. And we don't have any plans for newsletters or anything like that, either.

Then, you can put some info in your Profile if you like. You can fix up a signature in your Profile. Feel free to put a link there, but any more than one link in your sig will get it / you deleted. Sorry! The same sort of thing goes for the message body - relevant links are fine but anything that looks like spamming will get deleted.

To make it easy for you to insert links, here's how to do it. This forum uses BB code, which is different from HTML - it doesn't use 'a href' etc. So, to link some text, which can also be done in your signature, you do this:

Code:
[url=http://www.a3webtech.com]My Website[/url]

Then you get 'my website' linked to whatever you want. Use it for a signature (a line that automatically ends your posts) or in the main text. Just don't go overboard with them. One link only in the sig please. Just fire away on anything CMS-related (apart from on SEO for CMS, which has got its own Board next door).

To start a new topic you must:

  • Register.
  • Click the link in the email you get.
  • Login here.
  • Go to the individual Board that you want to post to.
  • Look for the tiny 'NEW TOPIC' button at the top right and bottom right of the topics list.
  • Click it and fill a title for your post, in the top box.
  • Fill the message body in the lower pane.
  • Check the spelling and submit it.

There are a bunch of things you can't see till you log in.
